Using Uncover

How does the feed work?

Every story is its own short feed. Swipe up to go deeper in a story, and swipe left for the next one. Tap a source at the bottom of a card to read where it came from.

How does Uncover pick my stories?

The interests you pick at the start are just a starting point. Uncover learns from what you read, how far you get and what you bookmark, and picks the next stories for you. You'll never see the same story twice.

How do bookmarks work?

Tap the bookmark on any card to save it. Your saved cards are in your library (the books button at the top right). They're saved to your account, so they come back if you sign in on another phone.

Notifications

How often will I get notifications?

At most one a day, during waking hours in your time zone, when new stories are ready for you.

How do I turn them on or off?

In the app, tap the person button at the top right of the feed, then switch Daily stories on or off. If notifications are off for Uncover in iPhone Settings, the app offers a shortcut to turn them on there.

Your account

Why do I need to sign in?

Your account keeps your personalization, the stories you've read and your bookmarks, so they follow you to a new phone. Uncover stores only your email, never your name. With Sign in with Apple you can hide your email.

How do I start over?

Account › Start fresh clears your personalization and the stories you've seen, and you pick your interests again. You can keep or delete your bookmarks.

How do I delete my account?

Account › Delete account. It permanently removes your account and everything Uncover keeps about you. See the Privacy Policy for details.

Sign-in isn't working

Check that you're connected to the internet, then try again. For Sign in with Apple, make sure you're signed in to your Apple ID in iPhone Settings. Signing in again with the same Apple or Google account always brings back your same Uncover account. If you're still stuck, write to us and tell us whether you use Apple or Google.

Stories

I found a mistake in a story

Thank you. Please write to us with the story's title and what's wrong. We check and correct stories.

Where do the pictures come from?
